A note about brindle vs harlequin: brindle is the same base genotype as harlequin. The only difference is modifiers causing the hairs to intermix more instead of being distinctly marked like a harlequin. According to ARBA, harlequins must have at least 4 of the 6 total harlequin markings (alternations/distinct markings on ears, face, chest, forelegs, real legs, and body) to be qualified as harlequins. Brindles must not show any identifiable harlequin marking and should instead show an intermixture of the two colors. A note about the A Locus and brindle/harlequin: brindles and harlequins can be Agouti (A_), tan pattern (aᵗ_), or self (aa). Tan pattern or self PLUS carrying non-extension (e) results in undesirable shading in the orange/fawn/white areas. For simplicity's sake, I did not include every single possible genotype. I only included the A_ genotypes for most and the aa genotypes for the ones with shading.
