General Pricing

Show Quality
A show quality harlequin rabbit is considered to be one which has a true face split and at least one of the following: nice body banding, alternating ear color, alternating chest/leg color, or all four legs alternating. Comes with a full pedigree unless otherwise noted. Prices: $40-$150 depending on overall quality.

A show quality silver marten rabbit is considered to be one which has very good overall body type, is of a showable color variety, and has no disqualifications. Comes with a full pedigree unless otherwise noted. Prices: $50-$200 depending on overall quality.

Brood Quality
A brood quality harlequin is considered to be one which does not meet the above requirements for show quality, but which I have evaluated to be a good prospect for producing show quality offspring. This will generally mean the rabbit does not have excessively brindled markings and has at least one good marking. It may have a marking disqualification (lack of a split face or lack of body markings). Comes with a full pedigree unless otherwise noted. Prices: $25-$35 depending on overall quality.

A brood quality silver marten rabbit is one which has one or more of the following problems which are easy to breed out: good body type but with one lesser quality trait (such as needing more width), has a non-genetic disqualification (such as a tear in the ears, missing toenail, or a white spot caused by injury), or is a non-showable variety still useful in breeding (such as white or Californian). Comes with a full pedigree unless otherwise noted. Prices: $30-$50 depending on overall quality.

Meat Production Quality
A meat production quality rabbit is one which is sold solely for the purpose of breeding for meat. No statements are made as to the rabbit's ability to show well or to produce showable offspring. They may be crossbred. If they are, they will be marked as such. No rabbits from poorly producing parents, from does that are poor mothers, or from parents with poor growth rates will be sold for meat production. Does not come with a pedigree. Prices are $15 for bucks and $20 for does.

Pet Quality
A pet quality rabbit is one sold solely for the purpose of a companion animal. No statements are made as to the rabbit's ability to show well or to produce offspring of any type. Generally, these rabbits will be ones that are severely mismarked or have excessive brindling. Both are color issues only, and they do not affect the rabbit's health. No rabbits with poor temperaments will be sold as pets. Due to the flightier nature of the silver martens compared to harlequins, we do not sell silver martens as pets! Does not come with a pedigree. Prices are $15 for bucks and $20 for does.

Policies

We wish it were not necessary to have these policies on holding rabbits, but we have had too many people back out, costing me time, feed, cage space, hassle, and sales.

We will hold rabbits for a 25% (or $5, whichever is higher) NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. If we choose to terminate the sale, they buyer will receive the deposit back. However, if the buyer chooses to terminate the sale, we will keep the deposit. In certain cases, we will refund a deposit so long as we resell the rabbit, but this is our option.

We will hold the rabbit for 24 hours without a deposit only if no other buyer is interested. After 24 hours, the buyer must have the deposit to us. If it is not to us in 24 hours' time, the rabbit will again be available for others to purchase.

We will hold a show or breeding priced rabbit for up to one month with a deposit, unless we specifically agree on a longer amount of time. After two months time, or the agreed upon amount of time, we will require an extra $10 per month that we hold the rabbit to cover the cost of feed and cage litter. Some leeway will be given to rabbits being transported due to the nature of transport. Pet and meat production rabbits will not be held longer than a week without prior agreement.

The buyer MUST remain in contact with us in order for us to continue holding a rabbit for them. If we are not contacted at least once every two weeks beyond the original stated date of transfer, either by telephone, text, or email, we will assume that the buyer no longer wishes to purchase the rabbits and all deposits will be null. If the buyer is going to be away longer than that and cannot keep in contact, they must let us know.

Full payment of the rabbit, as well as payment for any charges for holding a rabbit past one, are due before the buyer will receive the rabbit or the rabbit goes to the transporter.

A full pedigree will only be available after full payment has been received and is only available for brood and show quality rabbits.

Should something happen to the rabbit that the buyer has a deposit on, we will offer a replacement or a refund of the deposit (If more than one rabbit is being held, only the deposit for the particular rabbit will be refunded, not the entire deposit), buyer's choice.

Shipping/Transporting Rabbits: We will ship rabbits or use transporters. Buyer pays for all shipping costs including, but not limited to: airline fees, transporter fees, health certificate, shipping crate, and feed/water containers to be used during shipping. We will provide enough feed for the duration of shipping. All payments must be received before the rabbit is shipped. Buyer is responsible for setting up transport.

Guarantee

I offer a warranty on every rabbit because I take pride in being a responsible breeder with quality stock.

Illness or Death
If the rabbit becomes ill within 5 days of purchase or dies within 10 days of pickup, I will replace it with another rabbit of equal or greater quality OR I will refund the price. However, the choice to replace or to refund is mine.

Exceptions are if the illness or death is caused by heat stroke, physical injuries, neglect or abuse of the rabbit, improper diet, injury or death by other animals or humans, or failure to properly care for the rabbit. We also cannot guarantee that a rabbit picked up at a show or taken via transporter did not pick up an illness from other rabbits at the show or being transported. It is up to the prospective owner or transporter to check the health of the rabbit before taking it home from the show or taking it for transport.

Miscellaneous
If you cannot care for a rabbit anymore and cannot find a good home for it, I am always willing to take it back. Under such circumstances, I will not give a refund, but I will locate a good home for said rabbit.

No guarantee is offered on rabbits which are given away.

I offer no guarantee as to the quality of rabbits. I am always honest and will point out both the faults and the strong points of a rabbit. If you are concerned about whether a rabbit is show quality, you are welcome to meet me at a local show and have a registrar or judge look at the rabbit you are considering. Show quality Juniors are as-is, and are to be considered as "show prospect." I do not guarantee the quality of juniors come maturity, but I will do my best to predict the outcome based on my knowledge of the lines in the pedigree. If you want to be sure of what you are getting, please get a Senior (adult).

Pet quality rabbits are sold without a pedigree.

Finally...
You may ALWAYS ask me questions about rabbits. I will gladly answer them even if you have never purchased, nor intend to purchase, a rabbit from me.

If I do not have what you are looking for, I will do my best to locate a breeder who does.
