Rabbits have 28 total teeth, all of which have roots and grow continuously throughout their life. For this reason, rabbits need a tough, fibrous diet to keep their teeth ground down and help prevent malocclusion (overgrown and misaligned teeth). Pellets and hay offer this. Rabbits also enjoy chew toys.
